Purchased by Mrs Enriqueta Rylands, on behalf of the John Rylands Library, in 1901 AD from James Ludovic Lindsay, 26th Earl of Crawford .

Script

In the hand of the author, ʻAlī Ibrāhīm Khān, d. 1793 or 4, a Nasta'liq hand in black ink. Red ink used to mark titles, sub-headings and the names of poets.

Binding

Binding of brown leather on pasteboard. Edges stamped and gilded.
