Oriental Manuscripts

Contents

1 copy of al-Ifṣāḥ ʻan maʻānī al-ṣiḥāḥ by Ibn Hubayrah, Yaḥyá ibn Muḥammad, d. 1165

[incomplete at end]. Brock. at this point SI p. 578 (a) indulges in a plethora of false references: for "s. u. S. 409" read "s. u. S. 724 (zu S. 408, par. 11)", where for "s. S. 398, 2a" read s. S. 398, 2b"; and (b) confused two works differentiated by Vollers in Leipzig 313 and 314, the former of which is one vol. of a larger work probably a commentary on Ḥumaydī and the latter a smaller offshoot identical with the MS. above.
