Summary of Contents: رسالة الحضرات الخمس (1) A Turkish treatise on the "Five Planes" of Being (Ḥaḍarāt-i Khams) of the Súfis, composed at the end of Sha'bán, 1132/6 July, 1720, by Shaykh Ismá'íl Ḥaqqí of Broussa at the request of some of his Turkish friends. It begins: فيض ثنا گلزار تقدیسی شاداب و روضه رسولای سیراب قلدقد نصکره بو فقير شيخ اسمعیل حقی البروسوى الاسكدارى لا زال ز امداد من طرف حضرت الباری بو وجهله نقشبند صحیفه تقریر و طره آویز ورقه تحریر اولور كه بيك يوز اوتوز ایکی شعبانی سلخنده اشارت الهیه ایله دمشق الشامدن هجرت و مدینه اسکدارده طویله زن اقامت اولديغمده جانب رومدن بعض اخوان حضرات خمسك لسان ترکی اوزره شرحنی استدعا و حل مشكلاتنى رجـا ايتدكلرنده من قطع رجاء من ارتجى قطع الله رجاءه مضمونندن حذرا اسعاف مرام قلندی و بیاننه تصدّی اولنوب اسمى رسالة الحضرات دیلدی اسأل الله أن يجعلني من اهل فيضه الخاص ويشرفني بسر الاخلاص This treatise ends on f. 48b, and is followed by three traditions of the Prophet and a verse of the Qur'an. (2) A Turkish treatise on certain questions connected with the Futuhát al-Makkiyya of Shaykh Muhyi'd-Din Ibnu'l-'Arabi (ff. 51-93), entitled Zubdatu'l-Lubb wa-Sirru's-Sirr ("the kernel of the Kernel and mystery of the Mystery"). This is followed by a short vocabulary (ff. 94-95) of Súfi metaphors, and several Súfi poems in Turkish, mostly by Naqshí Efendi Kirmání (نقشی عکرمانی), but one each by Oghlán Shaykhí Ibrahim Efendi and Ghaybí. This MS. was given to me at Constantinople in April, 1908, by Dr Ridá Tawfiq, and was, I suspect, copied by him. It contains in the margins some philosophical notes by him in French.
