Spaces are left for the headings of the sūrahs, but have never been filled in. The previous owner of the book has numbered the chapters in pencil, and at various places has written marginal notes and interlinear Latin translations.
Delicate Naskh handwriting, Persian style.
Adorned with a naqshī or coloured border.

Written at the beginning of the manuscript: Anno CIꓛ IꓛC XXII Angli civitatem ORMI Expugnantes Me flammis eripuerunt, tandemque Dominum nactus Adamum Bowen qui Bibliothecæ huic Sanctæ et Individuæ Trinitatis Me donavit M DC XXVIII.
