A biographical dictionary of eminent followers of the Shāfiʻī sect.

Incipit: الحمد لله يوافي نعمه ويكافي مزيده وصلّ الله على سيدنا محمد وآله وصحبه وسلّم
Explicit: سهيل مضموم السين تصغير سهل هو سهيل بن سهل ابن الأسد بن يحيى بن أحمد أبو فضل التميمي من أهل أسفداين كان من أخصاء نظام الملك حدث عن عبد الغافر بن محمد الفارسي وغيره روي عنه هبة الله بن السقطي وغيره مولدة سنة ست وعشرين وأربع مئة ولم أعلم تاريخ وفاته رحمهم الله أجمعين والله أعلم.

i.e. Ṭabaqāt al-Shāfiʻīyah طبقات الشافعية - a biography of followers of the Shāfiʻī sect by the same author - in the medium recension.

The present copy contains only the first part of the work, i.e. letters alif to sīn.
