İnşā'-i ʿAbdülkerīm انشاء عبد الكريم, beginning, on fol 1b: هزاران هزار حمد بدیع و ثنای جمیل که عنوان طراز مصحف توحید وهم آغوش استجابت الخ. The correspondence of ʿAbdülkerīm Efendi or Çelebī, AH is styled on fol. 2a, ln. 6, bin Sinān, who was a native of Edirne, and died as ḳāḍī of Brusa (i.e. Bursa) between AH 1040 and 1049=AD 1630-1639/1640, see Rieu, P. 97b sq. (where the collection is fully described and bears the title of منشآت عبد الكريم افندی); G. Flügel i. p. 270; Krafft, p. 30; J. Aumer, p. 62, etc. The collection contains forty specimens of refined and elegant prose-style in letters to Paşas, Müftīs and other distinguished and learned men (see a list of them in Rieu, loc. cit.), and begins with several notes addressed to Yaḥyā Efendi, the Şeyḫülislām, AH 1031-1053= AD 1622-1643.

انشاء آلی چلبی İnşā'-i Ālī (!) Çelebī: A similar collection of official letters by ʿĀlī Çelebī (no doubt misspelt for ʿAlī علی or perhaps merely ʿĀlī عالی), beginning on fol. 61b, without a preface, at once with a letter to Ganji Efendi: گنجی افندی (افنديه) کوندر لمشدر گوهر گنجینه برای نادره الخ. An ʿAlī Efendi (who died AH 1008=AD 1599/1600) is mentioned in G. Flügel ii. p. 94, but very likely the author meant here is the well-known ʿAlī Çelebī, i. e. ʿAlī bin Emrullāh Ḳınālızāde (who died at Edirne, AH 979, 7th of Ramażān=AD 1572, January 23), whose منشآت are highly praised and frequently met with in collections of Turkish MSS., see Rieu, p. 94b; W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 471; G. Flügel i. p. 266; Krafft, p. 28; H. Khalfa vi. p. 185, etc. No date.
