Summary of Contents: Kitāb al-Ibānah (Book of Declaration) by ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Muḥammad Ibn Baṭṭah. Each juzʾ has the full title, the name of the author and the name of the two Rāwis who vouch for the authenticity of his text: ابو القسم علي بن احمد بن محمد بن علي بن البسري, who died around 495 AH (1101 CE), and الشيخ الامام ابو الحسن علي بن عبيد الله بن نصر بن عبيد الله بن الزاغوني, who in 527 AH (1134 CE).
The manuscript may be considered as part of one of the copies made by Ibnuz-Zāghūni's disciples from his own original.
The manuscript was transcribed around 510 AH (1116 CE), that is, before the year 514 AH (1120 CE) in which a note was written at the end of each part.

Clear old Naskh script. Vocalised throughout.
Additions:Note added at the end of each part in 524 AH (1120 CE). It states that Jaʿfar b. ʿAbdur-Razzāq had read the parts with his master Ibnuz-Zāghūni, in a mosque at Baghdad, and that others who were present, and whose name he specifies, had listened to the reading and the exposition, one of them correcting his own copy on the occasion.
Another short note states that Ibn 'Hasan al-Khabbāz made and corrected a copy in 518 AH (1124 CE).
In 573 AH (1177 CE) the manuscript was read before Abū Muḥammad al-Kāfī b. ʿAbdul-Wahhāb al-Ḥanbalī, one of Ibnuz-Zāghūnī's old followers. In 587 AH (1191 CE) another of Zāghūnī's disciples heard these two parts read by a younger student, Abul-Ḥajjāj Yūsuf b. Khalīl of Damascus who from that time down to '643 AH (1245 CE) was the owner of the volume. Other similar notes of hearings and readings dated 627 AH (1229 CE) to 648 AH (1250 CE) are signed by the same Yūsuf b. Khalīl.
Folio 1a: note by Abu Bakr b. Muḥammad Marzubān al-Hakkārī stating that he read it in 643 AH (1245 CE) under his master Yusūf b. Khalīl in the "school of the Persians" (بمدرسه بني العجم.
In the margin of folio 1b there is a note containing allusions to the Caliph ʿUthmān.

Previously owned by Alī b. Aḥmad b. Moḥammad b. Aḥmad al-Kātibعلي بن احمد بن محمد بن احمد الكاتب who signed his name as owner in 1050 AH (1640 CE). His seal is stamped beneath the inscription.
