Broad margins. Text in illuminated borders. First and last(thirteenth) line in large letters in blue; middle (seventh) line in large golden letter. These three lines trespass on the ordinary marginal limits reserved to the other lines written in smaller characters in black ink. Tajweed symbols in red ink.

Folio 1a: oval shamsa (sunburst medallion).
Folios 1b-1Aa: supplication before reciting written in eight-pointed star shape golden medallion, surrounded by illuminated full border.
Folios 1Ab-1Ba: Sūrah Fatiḥah written in oval shape golden medallion, surrounded by illuminated full border.
Opening on folio 210b-211a (17:100-111) is surrounded by illuminated full border; text blocks in preceding and succeeding opening (211b-212a and 212b-213a): are flanked by blue and gold ornamental panels.
Folios 460b-461a: text blocks are flanked by blue and gold ornamental panels.
Small pieces of floral ornament with medallions in the margins throughout.
Binding
Red leather binding. Gold-tooled: floral motive in almond-shape centrepiece, similar floral motif in each of the four corners.

Five seals on folio 1a, partially blotted out, of different previous owners. The biggest one at the top reads: خانه زاد محمد شاه (?).
