Histories of saints, etc.
The saints are: Mar Hormizd the Persian; John bar Malke; Miles, Aborsam and Sinai the deacon; Mar Yareth of Alexandria; George and Antonine and the queen Alexandra; John of Dailam; eight youths of Ephesus; Christopher; and Mar Daniel the disciple of Mar Eugenius, Mar Miles and Ḥash-Malka.
Also included are a text on the resurrection of the dead and the last day; the proverbs of Ahiqar; an extract from Sirach; fables of Josephus (Aesop); and the history of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Written in a good E. Syriac hand and dated 12009 = 1697 CE.
Binding
Bound in full leather with some blind tooling over wooden boards.

Provenance and Acquisition
Acquired for the SPCK by George Percy Badger and presented to the Library in 1887.
