Brown leather, Oriental type with a centrepiece (115 x 180). Blind tooling. 183 × 122 mm.

Seal(s):

Fol. 1a: Rectangular seal bearing the name Ḥakīm ʿAlī Ḥusayn.

Accompanying Material

Fols. 01a - 2a, 205b - 004b contain recipes and medical advice.
Fols. 2b - 205a on the margins contain many comments comments marked by the letter ṣād (ص) for صحيح or the numeral ١٢.
Fols. 2b - 205a contain interlinear translation into Persian of separate words and expressions.
Separately attached a page with numerical values of the abjad alphabet, a folio from an unidentified work in Persian, comprising magical letters, a note about the seven climates.
Fol. 119a contains the owner's note: اين كتاب مال حكيم علي حسين.
Fols. 5b, 6a contain diagrams; fols. 39a, 46b contain drawings. Fol. 13 has been pasted lately and contains a table. Fol. 64a contains divinations and fol. 004b contains a text written in a cryptic alphabet.
