Rare Sufi treatise prefixed to the present collection of (independent) works intended as a preface to the whole volume, defined here as a majmūʿah or anthology, by ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad al-Nasafī (d. circa 661/1262), prepared at the behest of his friends.
The work consists of five chapters, each termed faṣl.
The text extends into margins.

The work is prefixed on folio 1r with miscellaneous annotations consisting of a qiṭʿah, an Arabic ḥadīs̲ of the Prophet Muḥammad with interlinear Persian translation, and a further Arabic note on the building of tombs and the slaughter of unbelievers.
