Essay interpreting the compensatory value of suffering through mystical principles, with multiple quotations from the works of known Ṣūfī authorities.

The work is not given a title, except from an endorsement on a later binding naming it as Tasallīyat al-maṣāʾib. The author similarly remains unidentified.

The volume is defective at the beginning.

Dated colophon (f. 22v): completed by Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad on 11 Muḥarram in regnal year 1 of Emperor Farrukh Siyar (=1125)/7 February 1713.
