Untitled miscellany of ornamental prose and poetry on theme of mystical love or ʿishq by Muḥammad Afz̤al ibn Mīr Muḥammad Ṣādiq Ḥusaynī Bukhārī, in imitation of the Naghmāt al-ʿishq, with effusive praise for Mīrzā ʿAskarī ʿĀqil Khān "Rāzī" (d. 1108/1696) still alive at the time of the work’s composition.
The work is divided into sixteen sections called tarannumāt, of which some are missing (1, 9, and 13).
The volume is bound in a confused state due to absence of catchwords. The suggested order of reading is: 1, 15-20, 5-6, 22-36, 3-4, 2, 43 followed by lacuna, 21 followed by lacuna, 7-14, 44, 37-39, 41, 40, 42, 45-48.
Not dated at end.
Distinct nastaʿlīq with Arabic passages in large naskh.
Rebound in red IOL binding, dated 28 Jun 1916; net overlay; stained, wormholes.
Valuation note at beginning (f. 1r), stating value in raqm annotation as 5 rupees. Valuation note of 4 rupees at end (f. 48v).
