Treatise on the doctrines and principles of Sufism by Sayyid Faz̤l Allāh Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Ḥusaynī of Kalpi (Malwa), based on other Ṣūfī works and the teachings of Mīr Sayyid Abū Saʿīd and his grandfather, Mīr Sayyid Aḥmad ibn Mīr Sayyid Muḥammad, transmitted in gatherings and discussions.

The work was written at the request of his two masters and completed, according to a chronogram at the end, in 1107/1695-6.

The work is divided into eighty-two chapters, each termed hidāyat or guidance.

Dated colophon (f. 120v): completed 1210/1795-6. A further note states the work was checked against the original and mistakes were corrected.

Parts of the volume are annotated by the son of Shāh Barkat Allāh Qādirī according to a note at the beginning (f. 1r).

This volume was copied by at least two nastaʿlīq hands ranging in size.

Bound folios, but lacking original binding; torn sheet of advertisements (dated August 3, 1871) as cover.
