Summary of Contents: Scroll of 15 reports in the form of akhbār describing the stabling, provisions, deployments, expenditures, patronage, and staffing in Avadh's (Oudh/Oude) state kārkhānahs for animals (horses, elephants, camels, bullocks, goats, sheep, birds) and equipage (carriages and bullock carts), during the reign of Amjad ʿAlī Shāh; dates extend from 28 Z̲ī ḥijjah 1258/30 January 1843 to 12 Muḥarram 1259/13 February 1843, but omitting the date 5 Muḥarram 1259/6 February 1843; documents read in the chronological order: 6, 7, 8, 4, 12, 13, 10, 1, 2 & 5, 14, 15, 11, 9, 3; records the names of keepers or chaprāsī, owners or primary users associated with particular collections of animals, as well as the names of some prestigeous animals; mentions the birth, death, health and feeding of animals; records the supply of animals, animal products, and fruits for distribution at court or for ceremonies in Twelver Shīʿī institutions (imāmbārahs); IOL stamp 13 May 1909; creased with some damage; set of 3 scrolls (IO Islamic 3783, 3784, 3785, possibly corresponding to lot numbers 9, 10, 11) acquired in the 'Hodgson' auction sale ([19]09-05-13)
