The author, ʿAlī Muḥammad Khān, began the work in 1170/1756-7 and completed the historical portion on 10 Ṣafar 1175/9 September 1761

The work is divided into sections: muqaddimah (beginning f. 8v); Hindu rulers (beginning f. 16r); Islamic rulers (beginning f. 20r); khātimah (beginning f. 574r)

Volume divided into 2 parts: 3843A (ff. 1-368) and 3843B (ff. 369-725)
