Geographical history begun in 817 under the orders of the Timurid ruler Mīrzā Shāh Rukh ibn Amīr Tīmūr bringing the history of Khurāsān down to 821, the latest event mentioned being the death of Amīrzādah Saʿd Vaqqās

Datable to late-sixteenth-century Shiraz, Safavid Iran

Seal partially obliterated (f. 1r), but probably is that of the Iranian minister, Muḥammad Shafīʿ

Transcribed by multiple hands in nastaʿlīq

Large illuminated double page openings (ff. 4v-5r, 7v-8r, 175v-176r), with bold sarlawḥ and ʿunvān designs on folios 4v, 7v, and 175v
