Early portions of this account (up to year 11) are based on earlier (abrogated) official Pādshāhnāmahs, especially works by Muḥammad Amīn Qazvīnī and Mīrzā Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Ṭabāṭabāʾī
Later portions of this account (years 11-31) are based on later official Pādshāhnāmahs, especially works by Shaykh ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd Lāhawrī and Muḥammad Vāris̲ Vāris̲ Khān
The account concludes with important information of the emperor's overthrow by Prince Awrangzīb, later ʿĀlamgīr Pādshāh I (d. 1707)
