William Irvine's note on the flyleaf: "Mission of Abdul Qadir Khan Jāīsī [sic] to Nepal. Persian correspondence between Maharajah Ran [sic] Bahadur and the Govr. Genl. & Mr. Jonathan Duncan & Moulvi Abdul Qadir Khan 1787-1795. (Abdul Qadir Khan's family live in Mohullah [sic] Purānī ʿAdālāt, Benares City. His library is preserved. They have jagir lands near Ghunar [?, read Chunar] granted by Warren Hastings.) W.I."
