Javahir-i shahi

Contents

1 copy of Javāhir-i shāhī by Jawhar Aftābah'chī

Alternative title stated in colophon: Tārīkh-i Humāyūnī

Official chronicle of Humāyūn Pādshāh by his ewer-bearer, by order of Akbar Pādshāh

Version differs from other standard editions with parts attributed to Ilāhdād Fayz̤ī

According to Storey, "one would be disposed to regard this MS. as representing Jauhar's original draft, rather than a recension."

Although the colophon dates the volume to the mid seventeenth century, this is likely to be a later copy (circa early eighteenth century) with the original colophon reproduced verbatim
