Collection of official letters relevant to Timurid or Mughal court politics and courtiers, compiled after 1145/1732-3, at the request of author's son, Rādhā Kishan ibn Ranchhūr Dās (Ranchhor Das)
Work divided into 2 faṣls: 1) letters written by authors on behalf of patron; 2) author's personal letters
Author also wrote a treatise on rhetoric, the Daqāʾiq al-inshāʾ
Although Storey reads the author's nisbah as deriving from Jawnpūr, it is possible to read the loconym as Jīvanpūr (located north east of Ahmedabad, Gujerat, India)
Transcribed by order of G. J. Nicholls, Judge at Farrukhabad, from a manuscript obtained from Agra
