According to the scribe's comments noted by William Irvine (f. 1r), the author of this anonymous work is Mīrzā Muḥammad Ṣādiq, a relation of Fayz̤ Allāh Bayg, the muṣāḥib (companion) of Rājah Chayt Singh, Mīrzā Kalb ʿAlī Bayg, and Babr al-Mulk
