The work describes itself as a mukhtaṣar, written at the suggestion of Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī ʿAlavī, in refutation of Imām ʿAbd Allāh "Ibn al-Zanātī" (sic), addressing common falsehoods and the secretive tendency
