Large letter or manshūr with the seal of Fatḥ ʿAlī Shāh (dated 1217/1802) and invocation, addressesed to Gore Ouseley, the English ambassador, acknowledging receipt and deliberation of a petition or ʿarīz̤ah, and additionally giving permission to approach His Majesty in the field. Refers to the issue of a farmān-i mubārak or royal edict to that effect (not enclosed or attached)
