Work of mixed prose and verse by Mahārājah Chandū Laʿl bearing the takhalluṣ "Shādān", connecting his family's history with the foundations of the Āṣafjāhī state and his patron, the Nizam of Hydrabad, Sikandar Jāh ibn Niẓām ʿAlī (d. 1244/1829), for whom he was prime minister
The work consists of 3 parts following a short preface: 1) historical and autobiographical material (beginning f. 6r); 2) versified (beginning f. 41r); and 3) edifying tales (beginning f. 49r)
