A compilation of religious and ethical teachings, maxims and stories, planned in the form of a copious and wide-ranging commentary upon forty Hadith by Mu‘īn al-Dīn Farāhī called Miskīn (d. 907/1501-2).

Other contents: f. 1r, 2r, 3r and 4r, ownership inscriptions; 3r, a Qur’ānic phrase used as a prayer; 4r, verses and attributions; f. 4r-5r, 327r, obscured seal impressions; back endpaper, note n Persian.

Contains numerous additions and corrections in the copyist’s hand (e.g. f. 90r).

Includes quotations in Arabic.
