A rare medical treatise in two books, comprising respectively three maṭlabs and two fanns, as well as a preface (dībācha). By Muẓaffar ibn Muḥammad al-Ḥusaynī al-Kāshānī, called al-Shifā’ī (d. 963/1556), who is best known as the author of Qarābādīn-i Shifā’ī (or Ṭibb-i Shifā’ī).

Munzavī, in FNKhF I, pp. 529-30, cites three copies in Iran and three in Iraq; Storey, PL II/2 E, pp. 245-6, mentions only one in Najaf and one in St. Petersburg.

The present manuscript contains some apparent inaccuracies, such as the omission of az before ḥikmat in the opening passage (see below). It is incomplete at the end.

Begins: Basmala Ḥamd-i bīnihāyat va sanā-yi bīghāyat Ḥakīmī-rā ki ḥikmat-i kāmila ān mizāj-rā az amzāj-i javāhir-i ‘anāṣir-i mukhtalifat al-āsār iḥdās namūd

Ends: va nabāt khwurand va nabāt va sharāb banafsha va khashkhāsh laq (??) kunand va ghazā khw[urand]

Undated: probably 13th/19th century.

Nasta‘līq. 17 lines. European wove paper. Red headings. 234 folios. 178 x 112 mm.; text area 150 x 53 mm. Black leather binding with blind impressed medallions, rebacked.
