Sufi initiation certificate

A completed and witnessed certificate of initiation into Sufism. The name of the Sufi order is not specified. Though several decades later in date than the companion document, this one is similar as regards some of the wording. It states that Darvīsh Murtaz̤á has made his oath of allegiance under the guidance of Muḥammad Ḥusayn Ikhtiyār Iṣfahānī.
Isfahan. Rajab 1280/December 1863-January 1864.
Nasta‘līq. 31 lines including the Basmala heading and date. Witnesses’ seal impressions. 843 x 314 mm. Backed with cotton cloth.
