Summary of Contents: Daftars III (item a) and IV (item b) of the allegorical Ṣūfī Mas̲navī by "Rūmī" (d. 670/1271). Volume not dated and items only partially dated; datable to early eighteenth century. Illuminated headpiece, gilt rulings only on first folio (item a only). Rough scribal nastaʿlīq tending toward shikastah āmīz. Dense and detailed annotations and corrections in margins throughout. Stamped and Persian foliation. Lacking original binding. Binding damaged, detached boards (tooled reddish brown leather exterior embellished with medallions and outer bands of oxidised silver, pinkish brown leather doublure); doublure of front cover removed, exposing inner matter (Kaithi text). Dust sheet of EIC legislation for 1820 (torn and stained), watermarked. Folios unbound; cropped, wormholes, later repairs. Condition very fragile.
