Untitled commentary on daftar 1 of the Mas̲navī-'i maʿnavīof Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī(d. 670/1271) by Shukr Allāh (Khān), epitomising the commentaries of earlier writers.
The work is dedicated to the Timurid or Mughal Emperor ʿĀlamgīr I(d. 1119/1707), submitted through and corrected by the emperor’s early associate and governor of Akbar'ābād(Agra), Mīrzā Muḥammad ʿAskarī entitled ʿĀqil Khān the ʿĀlamgīr Shāhī(d. 1108/1696).
Dated colophon to daftar 1 (f. 80v): completed by Muḥammad Maʿṣūm, originally from Lāhawr, completed on a Thursday (date incomplete). Annotations in Arabic and Persian follow below.

Dated colophon (f. 82r): attained completion by the hand of Pīr ʿAlī, resident of parganah Hāpūr, in chaklah Sikandar'ābād, in ṣūbah dār al-khilāfat Shāhjahān'ābād, on Thursday, 27 Z̲ī Qaʿdah, in the ‘Indian’ month of Paws (Paushya), RY 20 of Emperor Shāh ʿĀlam(repeated twice), 1194/24 November 1780.

Dated colophon (f. 185v): completed by Pīr ʿAlī, ghurrah (=1) Rabīʿ al-Avval in RY 20 of Emperor Shāh ʿĀlam(1195)/25 February 1781.
