Untitled commentary by an unidentified commentator on the Mas̲navī-'i maʿnavīof "Rūmī" Mawlānā Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad Bahāʾ al-Dīn Valad Balkhī(d. 670/1271).
The volume is significantly defective at beginning.
Dated colophon (f. 184v): completed at night, ghurrah (=1) of Rabīʿ al-S̲ānī (year not entered). Datable to the early to mid-nineteenth century.
Rough nastaʿlīq tending to shikastah āmīz on coarse paper.
Folios severely cropped; wormholes toward the centre; stains, tears.
Annotations.
Boards of present binding brittle and cracked (polychrome decoratively printed paper edged with brown leather). Pencil note on inside of front flap: Rejected 18 Jan 1904.
