Foliation: Ethé (1930: 1177-1179 § (41) 2079)) suggests that the folios as they are are out of order, with some having being rearranged upside-down.

Hand(s)

Script: careful Nasta‘līq in black ink with red ink for section headings and place names. Scribe(s) unknown.

Decoration

Many maps throughout in black, blue, green, red, and yellow inks.

History

Origin: Completed in late December 1587 CE; late Muḥarrem 996 CE, possibly in ; Dersa‘ādet (İstanbul).

Provenance and Acquisition

The collections of Jacques Philippe D'Orville, d. 1751.

Purchased by the Bodleian Library in 1804.
