Beginning with muʿaşşerāt, the first, on fol. 1b, by Mevlānā Duʿā'ī; after these follow various naẓīrāt on fol. 3b sq. On fol. 7b, a longer poem styled پندنامه عسکری begins. This ʿAskerī is, no doubt, identical with the dervīş ʿAskerī Mulḥid, who flourished under Sulṭān Süleymān I, see Hammer, Osman. Dichtkunst, ii. p. 468, and W. Pertsch, p. 151). This pandnāme is not a mes̠nevī, but a long series of muʿaşşerāt, with the same refrain, which is somewhat modified in a few places only. On fol. 16b the extracts from the poems of ʿUbeydī begin with taḫmīsāt, after which a great number of other short lyrical poems follow. Not dated. This copy was presented to the Library by Archbishop Laud, 1633.
