Mercümek Aḥmed bin İlyās' Turkish translation of the famous Ḳābūsnāme, or work on ethics, composed in Persian by Kaykā'us bin Iskandar bin Qābūs bin Vashmgīr, for his son Gilānshāh, AH 475=AD 1082/1083, edited Tehran, AH 1285. The present paraphrase was made for Sulṭān Murād II (AH 824-855=AD 1421-1451), and completed AH 835, the 23rd of Şaʿbān (AD 1432, April 25), see ff. 1b, ln. 4, and 83b, ln. 11. Beginning: الحمد لله ... شيله بلمك كركدر كيم بو اضعف الخلق عند الله و الناس مرجمك احمد بن الياس الخ. It is divided into forty-four bābs.
