A treatise on the Astrolabe, beginning, on fol. 25b: واما بعد یعنی بندن صكره اصطرلاب التلين ذكر ادلم محور شول تشنه در كم ايك كبى اسطرلاب مركزنه کِرُر. After a long preliminary discourse follows on fol. 37b the main portion of the treatise, the astronomical uses of the Astrolabe, in four faṣls (درت فصل), see fol. 37b, ln. 1. The first faṣl is subdivided into twenty-four bābs, which are found respectively (after a detailed index on ff. 39b-41a), on ff. 41b, 44b, 46, 48b, 51, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62b, 64, 65b, 66b, 68b, 70, 72b, 74, 76, 78, 79b, 87, 90, 93, and 96b; the second faṣl contains twelve bābs, which are found here, on ff. 99b, 103, 105, 106a, 108, 108b, 109b, last line, IIob, 111, 112b, 113b, and 114b; the third faṣl contains again twelve bābs, of which the first ten appear here, on ff. 116a, 118a, 120, 121, 122, 123b, 124, 124b, 125b, first line, and 125b, last line. In the tenth bāb the copy breaks off on fol. 126b; fol. 127, the last leaf, contains the end of the fourth faṣl or the conclusion of the whole treatise, so that there are missing the last two bābs of the third faṣl and the whole of the fourth, except the last lines. Both treatises are of exactly the same character as the هدية الطلاب, a fragment of which is noticed in Rieu, p. 122.
