Beginning: بنم چوق سَوْدِكم سَروِ رَوَانُم کمان ابرو الف قامت سنادم. The most prominent poets represented here are as follows: Ẕātī, Bāḳī, Kemāl Paşa (or Kemālpaşazāde, see No. 2151), Ḫayālī, Ḫüsrev, Necāti, Ṣādıḳ, ʹĀrifī (died AH 959=AD 1552, see Hammer, Osman. Dichtkunst, ii. p. 262; two other writers with the same taḫalluṣ are mentioned in Rieu, pp. 17b and 74, one, as translator of Suhrawardī's عوارف المعارف in the time of Sulṭān Selīm I; the other, Muḥammed Maʿrūf bin Muḥammed Şerīf el-ʿAbbāsī, as translator of the شحات عین الحیات, who died AH 1002=AD 1593/1594), Fużūlī, Āhī (died AH 923=AD 1517, see below, No. 2171), Selmān, ʿUlvī, Nevʿ, ʿUbeydī, Şemʿ, Ṭabʿī, Beyānī (probably an older poet of this name, since the best known Beyānī died at a time which seems rather late in comparison with that of the other poets, viz. AH 1077=AD 1666/1667, see Rieu, p. 243b, and Hammer, Osman. Dichtkunst, iii. p. 463), Vālihī, Fiġāni, Emrī, Ḥātimī, Şikārī, ʿItābī, Revānī, Helākī (died AH 983=AD 1575/1576, see Hammer, Osman. Dichtkunst, iii. p. 10), Nāmī (died AH 978 AD 1570/1571, ib. ii. p. 334), Ėlçi İbrāhīm Ḫān, Sulṭān Murād Ḫān (no doubt Murād III, with the taḫalluṣ Murādī, who reigned AH 982-1003 AD 1574-1595), Bihiştī, Sulṭān Selīm (probably Selīm II, with the taḫalluṣ Selīmī), Ümīdī (died AH 979 AD 1571/1572, see Hammer, Osman. Dichtkunst, ii. p. 339), Ḳāḍī Burhānüddīn, Sirrī (i.e. Muẓaffar Sirrī, died AH 982=AD 1574/1575, see Hammer, Osman. Dichtkunst, ii. p. 358), ʿĀşıḳ (Muḥammed bin ʿAlī, died AH 979=AD 1571/1572, ib. ii. p. 335), Muḥibbī, Celālī (see No. 2152), Uṣūlī (died AH 945 AD 1538/1539, see Rieu, pp. 175b and 176a, and Hammer, Osman. Dichtkunst, ii. p. 221), Caʿfer (i.e. Caʿfer Çelebī, who was executed AH 920=AD 1514, see No. 2132 above), and Ẓuhūrī. By far the most numerous specimens are by Ẕātī and Bāḳī. A ta'rīḫ on the death of Kemālpaşazāde, giving the correct date of AH 940, appears on fol. 398 (comp. above, No. 2151). Here and there a Persian ġazel appears, for instance, by Saʿdī and others. Ff. 4-7 are turned upside down. This copy is defective at the end.
