A Turkish translation of the famous Arabic work on Muslim life, institutes, morals, and doctrines, styled الطريقة المحمدية 'the right Muslim road', by the same Muḥammed bin Pīr ʿAlī Birgeli, or as he is called here (on fol. 9b), Birgeli Muḥammed Efendi, who completed this work the 17th of Şaʿbān, A. H. 980=A. D. 1572, Dec. 23; comp. H. Khalfa iv. p. 160, No. 7966; C. J. Tornberg, p. 289; Cat. Berol., p. 59 (Nos. 928 and 929). The translator's name appears to be Vedādī (ودادی), see fol. 1b: المترجمه الودادی, and fol. 369. The work is divided, like the Arabic original, into three bābs, each containing three faṣls. First bab: faṣl I, subdivided into two نوع: 1. قرآن عظيم الشانى حالده تمسك ايدوب بیوردوغیله عامل اولماسی بیاننده در on fol. 10a. 2. حبيب اکرمک سنتیله عامل اولق بیاننده در, correspond to the heading of the first faṣl in the Arabic original viz. في الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة . On ff. 1b-8a, a complete index of all the contents of the book is given; after fol. 369 one leaf seems to be missing. Dated the 15th of Ramażān, A. H. 1083=A.D. 1673, Jan. 4; it is probably the autograph of the translator Vedādī.
