An exposition of Muslim faith, its rites and observances, somewhat on the same model as the تكملة الطريقه (translated into Turkish by Pīr ʿAlī Birgeli, see No. 2251 above), chiefly adapted from شرح برگوی and which is probably explanatory to the جوهرۀ بهیه احمدیه of Ḳāḍīzāde identical with the İslāmbulī Aḥmed, described in Rieu, p. 7a, and completed the 14th of Ṣafer, A.H. 1173=A.D. 1759, Oct. 73 printed in Constantinople, A. H. 1219 and 1229, and in Būlāk, A. H. 1240), the translation of all these, the and other dogmatic works, see fol. 3a. The name of the author seems not to appear in the text, he calls himself simply. The date, A. H. 1204=A. D. 1789/1790, at the end, may very well be both date of composition and of transcription, since the whole copy looks like an autograph, with numerous corrections and rich marginal glosses, additions, and explanations. Beginning (the first words very much effaced), on fol. 1b: سبحان الله ....... امّا بعد معلوم اولسون که حق تعالی كة. کلام قديمنده جمله مؤمنلره سوره الخ
