A fragment of Niʿmetullāh bin Aḥmed bin Mübārek ar-Rūmī's (died A. H. 969=A. D. 1561/1562) Persian-Turkish dictionary, see above, Nos. 1697-1699, and comp. besides the authorities mentioned there, W. Pertsch, Berlin Persian Cat., p. 201 sq.; Rieu, Turkish Cat., p. 142 sq.; Lagarde, Persische Studien, No. 48; and Salemann, Literaturblatt für Orient. Philologie, ii. p. 77. Another title of the work, or rather of a smaller recension of the same, is مجمع اللغات. This fragment, which lacks, like the other three copies in the Bodleian Library, the preface, begins at once, on fol. 42b, with آب آوردن; it breaks off with فرسودن, explained by آشنمق و آشندرمق واياغله..., corresponding to Laud Or. 125 (No. 1697 above), fol. 15, 1. 5 ab infra.

Another copy of the same short Persian-Turkish glossary which is found in Nos. 1702-1712 above, and also bears the title of تحفة الهادية or تحفة الهادى; comp. in addition to the authorities quoted there, W. Pertsch, Berlin Persian Cat., p. 211 sq.; Rieu, Turkish Cat., p. 141; and Lagarde, Persische Studien, Nos. 16 and 29. It begins, without a preface, at once with دانستن بلمك; the four faṣls are found here respectively, on ff. 33, 35, 37b, and 39a. Occasionally large additions on the margin; some transcriptions, in Roman characters, both interlinear and marginal, and a few English paraphrases, made in pencil. Copied A. H. 1030=A. D. 1621.
