Summary of Contents: كتاب المفاخرة والحروب الباترة للسيوطي Kitábul-Mufakhara wa'l-Huribil-Batira, ascribed on the title-page to the celebrated polygraph Shaykh Jalálu'd-Din as-Suyútí, and comprising three Maqámát, the first two dealing with fruits and the third with gems. Begins abruptly: قال الشيخ العالم العلّامة والبحر الهمام القيامه فريد عصره وأوانه ووحيد دهره وزمانه سألني بعض الاصدقاء أن اعمل مختصرًا لطيفا ، ليكون فرجة للناظرين وسمّيته بكتاب المفاخرة والحروب الباترة اما بعد ايها الناس فإنّ الله تعالى آتى انواع الطيب شرفا عميما وجعل لها في الدنيا والآخرة والبرزخ فضلا عظيما الخ The following Table of Contents was drawn up by Mírzá Bihrúz: المقدمة فى فضل الطيب والأحاديث الواردة فيها ص ٣ المقامة التفاحية ص ۱۴، الرمان ص ١٦ الاترج ص ۱۸ السفرجل ص ٢٣، التفاح ص ٢٥ الكمثرى ص ۲۷، النبق ص ٢٩، الخوخ المقامة الزمردية في الخضروات ص ۳۴ الفُستق ص ٣٥ اللوز ص ٣٦ الجوز ص ۳۸، البندق م ، الشاهبلوط ص ٣٩ حب الصنوبر ص ۴۰، المقامة الياقوتية ص ۴۱ قال الياقوت ص ۴۱ قال اللؤلؤ ص ۱۴۴، قال الزمرد ص ۴۷، قال المرجان ص ۱۴۹، قال الزبرجد ص اه ، This MS. comprises 55 pp. of 17'9 x 12'3 c. and 15 ll., but presents several lacunae, which have been filled by blank pages. It contains no indication of origin, but I think was acquired at the final partition of the Belshah MSS. It is written in a clear but shaky and senile naskh with rubrications, and is undated.
