F1a. Partly effaced impression of a large round Persian seal, probably seventeenth or eighteenth century beside a largely effaced note concerning the book. Leaf attached before f1, recto: a) medical prescriptions. b) Note of possession in red naskh above two faint impressions in red of the seal of Muhammad Taqi, dated A.H. 1266, as on 511(525)b. Folios now loose; kept tied between two pieces of English cardboard. Some notes by Ellis on used envelopes and a paper with a prayer and a charm in Arabic and Persian are included. A comprehensive medical work in twenty books, stated in the preface to include translations from Indian works. The main text is preceded by a table of contents. Headings and ruled margins in red.
