1 copy of Akbar-namah by Abū al-Faz̤l ibn Mubārak, 1551-1602
Folio eight (so numbered, but beginning of text proper), recto: a) Note of purchase in Ilichpur, 1 Safar 1149. b) English note giving name of author and subject of the work, signed 'David Price' 1794. Ff8b-9a. The top and outer borders are filled diagonally by the scribe of the main text with prefatory material, probably by Abu 'l-Fadl. (Needs to be compared with the printed text) Pencil notes in English in the margins, presumbaly written by Price. Table of contents on two folios before text. First flyleaf, recto. Assorted notes, presumably written by David Price, including a list of the signs of the Zodiac with their Islamic names and one of the European and and Persian months. A history of the Emperor Akbar. Daftars 1 and 2. Headings and punctuation in red.
