The pages repaired with strips of paper along the inner edge. Defective at end, the text breaking off in the twentieth year of the reign. Fromt flyleaf, recto: Presented to the Oriental Translation Committee by Sir A Malet Baronet Inside back cover: armorial bookplate of Sir Chas Warre Malet. Between blank leaves at end there are two slips of blue paper with list of contents of two copies of another Indian historical work, with numbers that do not correspond to anything in the Society's catalogue. A history of the first thirty years of the reign of Shah Jahan, abbreviated from the earlier chronicles of the reign. Headings and punctuation in red.
