Gatherings are numbered conspiciously in words and figures at the top left front corner of the initial folio. Towards the end two are bound upside down. First folio, recto: a) Notice of ownership? of Mihta? Shahbu Ram with mention of his father and other members of the family. b) Persian verses etc. Below end of text' Persian verses and scribblings. Second front flyleaf, recto: Presented to the Oriental Translation Commt by Sir A. Malet Bar[t] A History of Aurangzib from A.H. 1067 to the eleventh year of his reign. Headings and punctuation in red.

Binding

Brown leather binding with tooled margins, probably European. Inserted blank leaves have clear chain lines.

History

Origin: Surat, when Tighbigh? Khan was Mutasaddi of the port, Mihta? Manakchand? Diwan and Beglar Khan Qal'adar. These could perhaps be checked the Mir'at-i Ahmadi. 15 Jumada II 20th regnal year of Muhammad Shah (written so, but should be 30th), A.H. 1150.
