First folio, recto, stamp, the name filled in by hand: Presented to the ROYAL ASIATIC SOCIETY by John Romer Esq. (There is a confusion in Codrington/Reade's description, deriving from a hand written note in the Library's copy of Codrington. There details referring to Morley's printed catalogue No 133 (Akhbar-i Darbar-i Mu'alla) are entered opposite Codrington No 133. These do not refer to the present MS, which is Morley No 129.) Headings and punctuation in red.

Origin: Possibly Sunday 9 Shawwal, regnal year 27 of Muhammad Shah, A.H. 1157. This appears in an unusual position at the bottom left corner of the last page of text. It has been trimmed in binding.
