First front flyleaf, recto: Presented by Sir John Malcolm May 19, 1827. The colophon at the end of Maqsad 1 gives the date 9 Muharram 1071, the final colophon 5 Muharram A.H.1091. Yet the hand is evidently the same throughout and the transition from Maqsad I to Maqsad II is in the middle of a gathering.

Binding

Red leather Oriental binding with stamped decoration and marbled doublures. Evidently by the same binder as Codrington/Reade No 143. The stamp used for the borders is identical.
