Summary of Contents: 1 copy of 'Aja'ib al-Makhluqat wa Ghara'ib al-Maujudat by Qazwīnī, Zakarīyā ibn Muḥammad, ca. 1203-1283

Title page, on top of paper overlays: a) 'Edwd. Galley' next to impression of small oval seal with Edward Galley in Arabic script. b) In pencil: D Price -- Purchd -- 20th Sept 1804. c) In ink: Purchased from Mr Galleys manuscripts on the 20th Septbr 1804 by David Price d) Notice of ownership in Arabic next to the obscure impression of a small rectangular seal. In margins, occasional notes in English, seemingly written by Price. Penultimate folio, verso, top: David Price (1805) Earlier than most of the MSS listed by Storey. Translation of Qazwini's Arabic work on the Marvels of Creation. The manuscript is of luxurious quality. An illuminated title-page is almost entirely obscured. A double-page miniature preceding the text has illuminated borders. Headings and quotations in gold outlined with black, or in red. Colophon similarly in gold. Ruled margins in black and gold. 148 miniatures in Commercial Turkman style, stated in the colophon to be the work of 'Abd al-Karim.
