'Ms English translation, Sir A. Purves.' So Codrington/Reade, but this is based on a pencilled note on the Library copy of Codrington and the name is to be read Sir A. Burnes. The translation is presumably in the Library.

Binding

Green and red leather binding, evidently Bukharan, with simple blind-tooling and brown stamped cartouches, the four smaller ones inscribed with the name of the binder: 'amal-i Mulla Qalandar Juybari. The doublures have an arrangement of marginal and central cartouches stamped on paper, the central ones from the same stamps as on the outer side of the covers.

History

Origin: 9 Dhu 'l-Qa'da A.H. 1234 (30 August 1819).
