In margin by colophon note of ownership dated 8 Safar 1073 (23 September 1662), the name of the owner defaced, next to the impression of a round seal, defaced. Four folios following the text contain an assortment of notes, including a horoscope, a vocabulary of Turkish numerals and a composition mentioning the Amir al-Umara 'Ali Mardan Khan. Headings and punctuation in red.

Binding

The new front flyleaves have pasted to them two magic squares, and other bits, no doubt associated with the old binding. Blue cloth English binding, with title etc tooled on spine.

History

Origin: Probably Sialkot. Saturday last day of Rabi' I A.H. 1069 (23 April 1659).

Provenance and Acquisition

Provenance uncertain. No evidence on the MS. The colophon states the MS was the property of Firuz son of' 'Abd al-Shakur (a line cut out) of Sialkot.
