First flyleaf, recto: a) In Persian: Fihrist kutubha b) Ferisht Khootub Khanna Firzada Kole. (The only mention of the owner of the library, if that is what the phrase means.) c) English list of contents written in pencil, probably written and initialled by Duncan Forbes. Second flyleaf, recto: English list of contents in ink, probably written by Duncan Forbes. The number of books included is estimated at nearly 2,000 and it is noted that the owner is unidentified. Inside front cover: Bold signature of Duncan Forbes in Arabic script, with the date 1830, and his note of its presentation to the Society. A catalogue of Persian, Arabic, and Hindi books, seemingly in the library of Firzada Kole, (Unidentified. The personal name, if it is that, only appears in an English note on the first flyleaf - see above.), Headings and punctuation in red. Author is possibly the scribe (raqim) Dadar bakhsh.
